Your host: Ryan Canty

My name is Ryan Canty and I am a professional photographer and videographer from Montana, USA. I specialize in capturing fleeting moments in the wild and seeking exciting terrain. I am thrilled to connect with you on this adventure-packed trip through the best of Bali. We will have the opportunity to take in brand new surroundings and make lasting memories both in front of and behind the lens.

Itinerary

Arrive in Bali and transfer to your hotel in Ubud. Ubud is centrally located and known as the artistic centre of Bali, making for an ideal place to begin your adventure. Spend today settling in and exploring before a festive welcome dinner.

Meals: Dinner

Today you’ll head out to the rice paddies where panoramas of temples, waterfalls, and the forest await. You’ll hike for a couple of hours through the rice paddies and enjoy lunch on the rice fields. The rest of the day is at your leisure in Ubud.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Today is more than just an adrenaline-pumping drive by 4WD, it’s an opportunity to explore the vibrant nature and rich culture of the area. Pass through stunning rice fields and lovely villages where you will stop to take in the sights and interact with the people who live there. During this trip, you will also be visiting Snake Fruit “Salak” plantations where you can pick your own fruit and enjoy them afterward with fresh coconut. Climb up (by car) to the top of a massive hill to enjoy a picturesque panoramic view featuring Mt. Agung and if you are lucky, Mt. Rinjani. You will stop at a village where you can witness the production of local rice-based wines. Then you will head to a second stunning outlook point where you can see the expanse of the eastern shore.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Wake up in the coastal village of Candidasa, looking out at Lombok and the Nusa Islands. From here, you will explore Virgin Beach, a pristine white-sandy beach and enjoy a delicious beach BBQ for lunch. Then, onwards through the east of Bali to your comfortable hotel in the quiet coastal village of Amed. First, on the way to Amed, you will visit Amlapura, an old town from the ancient Karangasem Kingdom. A short drive eastward of Amlapura, you can witness Taman Ujung, a water palace that was built by the last King of Karangasem.

Meals: Breakfast, dinner

Find yourself enveloped in a remote paradise at your lovely hotel on the quiet beach of Amed. Today you will have the opportunity to soak up the sun and enjoy exploring the ocean. See if you can spot the shipwreck from the Second World War found just under the water’s surface on a snorkelling tour, then enjoy free time on the beach.

Meals: Breakfast

After a relaxing morning, a spectacular drive along the coast and over the mountains will bring you to the cozy coastal town of Sanur, where you will spend your last night of the trip in a nice hotel with a swimming pool and located nearby the beach. On the way to Sanur, you will visit Tirtagangga Water Palace, which was once a place for the Royal Bathing Garden of King Karangasems’ family. You will also visit Goa Lawah (Bat Cave) which is a cave with thousands of bats hanging on its walls.

When you pass by Klungkung, a small town that once was the capital of the Balinese Kingdom, you can visit Kertha Kosa, the former court of justice and Bale Kambang, a nice open pavilion with a historic legacy surrounded by a spring. Tonight, rejoice in a farewell dinner for the group.

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

This morning following breakfast, your week of adventures in Bali come to an end. Pack up and check out to depart. Until next time!
